Information for tourism visa(L)

The Embassy of China in Antigua and Barbuda is responsible for nationals or legal residents of Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, Netherlands Antilles, Guadeloupe, Montserrat and British Virgin Island. Tourist Visa (L Visa) is issued to an alien who comes to Mainland China for sightseeing or visiting family members or friends. Visa for Hong Kong, China within 7 days is not needed for passport holder of Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, France, Netherlands, UK and United States.

 

Basic Requirements

1. Passport: Your valid passport must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity with at least one blank visa page in it.

2. Application form: One completed Visa Application Form which can be downloaded from http://ag.chineseembassy.org/eng/lsfw/

3. Photo: one passport photo (black & white or color is acceptable) glued or stapled on the application form.

4. Those who hold passports issued by governments other than the residency country, a resident permit or work permit for and extended period of time is required.

5. An applicant who was born in China is required to submit his /her Chinese passport or last foreign passport with a Chinese visa when he/she applies for a Chinese visa with a new foreign passport.

6. Usually, it takes four working days to issue the visa. If the visa is needed earlier, additional urgent fee will be charged

 

Please fill in the application form carefully, completely, and clearly. If not, it may lead to delay in process, or even decline of application.

If necessary, the consular officer will make a telephone call and inform the applicant to provide additional information, such as an invitation letter from your relatives in China, invitation from a Chinese travel agency, financial statement, round trip tickets and hotel reservation.

The Office of the Embassy of China opens from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Consular section is by appointment only.
